Dan and his wonderful mother put in some square-foot gardens for us while she was here. They planted bell peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes. In another, we added watermelon and cantaloupe. So far, everything has failed but the tomatoes, but more on that later. For now, here are some of our over-paid gardeners prepping our soil. :) Karsten is wearing my night protection eyewear from when I had LASIK. He loves those “goggles” and actually cried when I told him once that I thought maybe they’d been thrown away. Luckily, we found them in the back of the car and all is well again.

gardening is dangerous business, glad he's being safe. All our stuff died this year too. Boo.
