The book closest to me is I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. It says, "But it startled mother badly the other night. I think I'll just ask them not to, if I can catch them." Simon went to the door and opened it.

Here's my plug:

I am currently reading The Writing on the Wall by Dean Hughes. It continues the story of the Thomas family from his original World War II era series called Children of the Promise. I like his books because they are very well-researched historical fiction novels. Sometimes history is a little boring to me by itself, but if I can imagine an every-day, regular old Joe like me as part of that history, then I become more interested and engaged. That is what Dean Hughes as a writer offers to me as a reader.

I tag Laurie, Wendy, Brooke, Lisa F. and Megan.

I've heard of that book, it really is great. Don't you love the book tag? It gives you something else to talk about. Yes, I'm excited the piano is almost done- I painted it with Telisa's advice (You know telisa right?) It used to be old lady yellow, we got the piano for free, so now I painted it to look better. I hope it really does look better...

I got hooked on the children of the promise series several years back. I even got Kev to read them which is a big deal because he doesn't like to read novels very much. The hearts of the children series are good too! It looks like you tagged me. My recent reading has been "new moon & Eclipse". I read Eclipse in one week because I couldn't put it down. Kev had to turn out the lights on me several times. I was a little skeptical about the "vampire books" but I ended up liking them.
