Making it Real

So, I'm going for it. We ordered an amazing new camera and I'm going to start begging friends and family to let me photograph them in a variety of situations so I can get experience. I'm following my dream to become a professional photographer. Whether this means I make money in the future, well that will remain to be seen, but for now, I just want to be able to create amazing pictures and learn everything I can about my camera. If you're in my neck of the woods and want to be a guinea pig, just give me a call. I'll give you copies of all the pictures I take and hopefully, in return, you'll let me use them to build my portfolio. I changed my photo blog name to Lizzie Jane Photography, so please put me on your favorites list and check back often to see my progress with my camera. :) Wish me luck!

Liz! Which one did you go with? (camera) I wish I lived close to you because I would be there in an hour all decked out and ready for family pictures. I have a friend who is as into photography as I am and once in a while we will get our families together and take family photos of each other just for fun. If we were neighbors we would do that. It makes a great sunday afternoon outing! Good luck, I can't wait to see where you go with this.

That is so awesome! Congratulations! If you ever come to Oklahoma, you can take our picture. You really have some real talent for it. And I feel like a total dork- because all along I thought your married last name was Bagel! I've tried to find you on Facebook since you had it on your links. Are you on there? I'm under "Melissa Miller Burr" Anyway- congrats again!

You're going to be great- when is this camera arriving? Hopefully in the next two weeks, and then you can experiment with Ari and me. :)

Lindsey - No way! I'll not be having anyone pay for pictures that I can't guarantee will turn out great yet. :) But I would love to have you as guinea pigs (though I know that's not the most flattering term). :)

Mom - I will get good...I hope.

Anna - I would love to swap photography services...you just need to move on down here to sunny San Diego first. :)

Melissa - Ha ha ha ha! That's hilarious. I have sometimes wondered if anyone would think that. I named our blog The Bagel Factory because Dan helps people remember our name by telling them, "It's Agle, pronounced like Bagel but without the B." His mission buddies also used to call him Bagel. I am on Facebook and I'll try to work a trip to Oklahoma into my teeny tiny budget...it might be a while. :)

Sara - The camera comes this week and you better believe I'll be sticking that thing in your faces the entire time you're here! :)

Jacqui - I think it's safe to say the camera will become an extension of me as soon as it gets here. :) I'll have it with me everywhere! Are you volunteering? Because you have such cute kids you know I'd never pass that one up!

Suzi - Great! Let's work it out. I just hope I don't disappoint. :)

*Thanks to everyone for volunteering to further my photography education and for believing in me. I can't wait to get started!

Liz, I really enjoy looking at all your pictures. Photography is a great business to be in. It is too bad that you don't live closer. I would love to have you take pictures of my kids. I am also so excited that your parents are coming home. Your boys are going to love having time with their Grandparents. I can't wait to see pictures of your reunion.

Congrats Liz!!! That is amazing. Good luck with everything. BTW, I miss your hearts background. Did you get sick of it? :)

Liz said...

Yes, Lauren, I did. I felt like it was a bit over-the-top after looking at it day in and day out. I needed to simplify. Do you want the hearts background? :) It's all yours if you do. :)

Hi Liz-
It has been so long, I don't even know if you remember me or not! It is me, Amy Hall- your friend from Chile. :) I saw your blog on Laurie's list. You have the cutest boys. Sounds like you are doing well!

Great to hear from you. Yes, my dad is an attorney. He does estate planning law. What type of law does your husband practice?

Next time you come to AZ let me know!
