Flabby Arms

Buddha and I were having a great conversation about muscles today. He was emphatically declaring to me that his muscles are bigger than mine. So I asked him, "Buddha, if your muscles are bigger than mine, then how come my arms are bigger than yours?" His response? "No! You have little muscles in a big arm. I have big muscles in a little arm. You have weird body things, Mommy."

It's pathetic how correct his unassuming statements are. I do have little muscles in my big arms and countless "weird body things." I love you, Buddha. You make me laugh every day!

Buddha's muscular arms

Mommy's little muscles

Added at 4:05pm:

I just showed Buddha the picture of "his muscles" and he said, "Those aren't my muscles! They're huge!" I replied, "Well, you told me you had big muscles." And he retorted forecefully, "Big is not huge. Big is big!"

lol. Soren is so cute. Kids have a way of pointing out things you don't want to think about. Crystal saw my stomach today and said "Mommy, you have lots of boo boo's on your belly! did you fall down?" I wanted to say "No a werewolf scratched my belly" but that would have scared the daylights out of her. So I said, yes, honey, their boo boo's. Oh the joy of fresh stretch marks.

Soren is just too funny! When Jonathan and Katelyn came to see me at the hospital after delivering the baby, we were all sitting around talking on my bed. Then Jonathan poked at my flabby tummy and asked, "Mom, when's that next baby going to come out?" :)

That is so cute! Kids are sweet, and their little brains are constantly thinking!

hah! when you're trying to convince yourself to hit the treadmill (re: your earlier post), you can think about all those "weird body things" to motivate you ...

Good idea, Erin! Maybe I'll print the arm picture to use as motivation. :)
