Raisin Fingers and Toes

I love this kid and his quick-to-prune skin! I'm so glad I was finally able to document this phenomenon because it is hilarious. Buddha gets wrinkly skin like this within minutes of getting into a bath, shower, or pool. And, what's more, we have discovered that he inherited this quirk from his father. My skin takes much longer to shrivel, as does Bugga's.

Incidentally, this week Buddha took his first shower all by himself. What a trip! I turned on the water for him, pointed out the soap, closed the shower door and listened to my little, independent almost-4-yr-old lather and rinse himself. If I poked my head in, he promptly informed me that I needed to remove myself from the premises. He emerged from the shower triumphant and oh-so-proud of himself. As am I. And now, with this recent graduation, I'll have more room for my own plumpish body in our confined shower space. So, what to do with the little one....

What sweet little hands and feet!

One of my favorite things about your blog and mine is that, some day, future generations of our families will hopefully be able to access an amazing history of their family. Pictures like these are timeless!

I totally agree, Lindsey! I'm always thinking as I'm posting, "I would totally love to see something like this 20 years down the road." It's so fun to save memories for them and I hope they appreciate it some day. And I think a lot of it is selfish because I know that in 10 years (or 10 days for that matter) I won't be able to remember this stuff. My camera acts as my memory. Thank goodness for modern technology! :)
