Oh My!
So, my friend Brooke said she wanted to see those owl glasses I was talking about in my "Tagged" post. Well, here they are. And, as a bonus, you get a picture of the hideous bow I was talking about, too. :) How embarrassing!
Oh, and here's the awful perm! I'm beginning to think it's a wonder I had any friends back then. :)
OH, I am laughing my head off! I also had that same short perm when I was in elementary school- what were our mom's thinking???
I love the glasses and I am thanking my lucky stars I didn't have to wear glasses in that era, because its seems everybodies elementary glasses look just like that.
Love the bow!! You never know, they may make a comeback. And I think Daniel looks just like Ron Weasley in that picture, with the longer hair!! (I know, a reference to HP, I am a nerd)
Awwww...I think you were a cute kid! Hey I wore the big bows too...AND I had the short hair perm...I think I even have a picture with the perm and a big bow all together in the same goofy photo. Ah the joys of fashion trends! I'm sure I have many more embarassing pictures than you do...as you know I like to follow the trends, which ALWAYS leaves behind questionable pictures, but hey, it was fun while it lasted! I'll have some great pictures for my kids to laugh at.
You want to know the sad thing? I don't think I really needed glasses. I just wanted them. My mom indulged me, and they didn't last for long. Now I actually need them and I can't believe that I ever ASKED to wear glasses. What was I thinking?
I think Daniel looks like Ron Weasley, too. We watched a Harry Potter just a couple weeks ago. I think the Weasley twins are my favorite characters. :) Now who's the nerd?
Hey Lisa, let's see some of those pictures on your blog, eh? I don't want to be the only one dusting off the humiliating, laughable pictures. Especially if you have as many as you claim you do! :)
We moms weren't thinking anything back then, just surviving by letting you do what everyone else was doing (as long as it wasn't evil. Cute pictures, cute little girl. Stubborn too, absolutely insisted on the glasses.

Ron Weasley huh? Interesting. Those pictures are funny. You should start wearing the bows again Lizzie. I'm sure The Chief would agree with me. :)
